  • Our most popular option, the Regular Program is good for students who are highly motivated and want to achieve big score increases, with an average increase of 6 composite points on the ACT and 200 points on the SAT. This consists of 30 SAT or 36 ACT one hour sessions over the course of several months which cover all content areas tested comprehensively.

    ~ $4,850 (ACT)

    ~ $4,000 (SAT)

  • Small-Group or Pair tutoring is ideal for students who are motivated to achieve big score increases (an average of 6 points on the ACT or 170 points on the SAT) and comprehensively cover all tested subject areas, but who have a friend they’d like to do tutoring with or who want a more economical, yet still comprehensive, test prep option.

    ~ $3,000 - $3,500 per student

  • Kay Tutoring’s Partial Program still consists of optimal 1-on-1 tutoring, but only covers a portion of what is tested. This is ideal for students who want to increase their test scores but don’t have the time, budget, and/or motivation required to do the Regular Program. The Partial Program - 20 sessions - is such that if a student was to become more motivated and want to do the rest of the curriculum, they could upgrade to the Regular Program easily. The average increase for this program is 3 composite points on the ACT or 100 SAT points.

    ~ $2,700

  • Single Selections Focus is good for students who only want/need to improve on 1 or 2 sections of the test. This would be because they are already scoring highly on the other sections and/or are interested in the optimal superscore on the ACT. This program consists of 7-17 sessions, which is fewer than the Regular Program, and therefore, can be completed more quickly. Students can expect at least a 3 point increase per section on which they focus.

    ~ $1,200 - $2,150

  • Typically offered once weekly from November to February each year and some summers, this tutoring option is good for students who want a more economical test prep option and are not considered “college-ready” with their baseline test scores. This is also good for the student who is vocal and self-advocates because it mimics a classroom learning environment. Like the partial program, it covers all sections tested but not comprehensively. The average increase for this program is 4 composite points on the ACT.

    ~ $1,450

  • Our most economical option, Spot Treating Practice is good for students who want to do minimal preparation (8 sessions) for the ACT or SAT and/or have very little time to prepare. This consists of 1-on-1 tutoring and will cover a few topics for each section. Students can expect an increase of at least 1 composite point on the ACT or 40 SAT points.

    ~$1000+

“Our family came to Kay Tutoring rather late in the ACT preparation game. Andrea took an insightful look at my son's previous scores, had a perceptive conversation with him, and suggested a plan of action that could be concentrated for maximum impact. She gained my son's trust and affection and so did Kristen, who became his tutor - inspiring his motivation and best efforts in addition to teaching a focused set of skills. In the end, he surprised himself by getting a perfect score in the area on which they focused and raising his overall score from 30 to 32. It was a tremendous experience, not merely in terms of the final score, but in the value of deciding to try a bit harder and stretching beyond where you think you can reach. We are grateful to Kay Tutoring!”
